The Town & Country Resort is located in San Diego at 500 Hotel Circle North about 15 minutes from the San Diego airport. There are many transportation options to San Diego: air, bus or extensive interstate highways. All the major airlines fly to San Diego. The name of the airport is San Diego International Airport. For more information on other travel options follow these links: bus service, train, car rentals.
Shuttle
Airport shuttle and taxi options. These are not free options. The discounted EFCA cost for a roundtrip fare is $20.
Download an instruction sheet for the Super Shuttle website link (Airport shuttle and taxi options).
Parking
Parking is available at the Town & Country Resort and Convention Center for $5 per day.
If you are renting a car:
All rental cars are off-site at the airport. You will need a link with the shuttle to the specific car rental agency you are using. You should be able to get directions from the airport to Town & Country. We should add a section in there about the advantages and disadvantages of using the pre-paid gas and how you buy gas in California.
Fuel: When you rent a car in California, you have the option of pre-paying for gas on the return trip. Just so you know, there are some limited options in terms of gas availability, so you may wish to take the refill option there. Often it is a cheaper rate of gas, and in the California gas stations near Fashion Valley Road, they do not accept credit cards. You must have cash or a debit card to pay for fuel. Plan ahead! They also have a different kind of nozzle than other states, so just be aware of these things. Price of gas was between $4.29 and $4.49 per gallon in mid-May 2011.
