The Local Church and Membership

Local church membership has fallen on hard times. The general trend is to attend without membership, as it is considered unnecessary or unbiblical.  This raises some important questions. What is the biblical basis for membership in a local church? Why is it important? What is required for membership in the local church and how do you go about preparing people to become members? In this training seminar, we will respond to these questions. It will consist of teaching from the Bible on membership, and we will also be learning from others about their practice or application of the biblical teaching on membership. The EFCA is in process of revising their membership manual, Welcome to the Family, so attendees of this seminar will aid in this revision. Trainer: Rev.
